These are not legends polished smooth for a landing page. They are compact, public-safe cuts from the actual receipts: measurements, wrong turns, corrections, creature credit, and the exact point where the machinery became funny.

How to rummage

Evidence says what the receipt directly supports. Fence says what it does not support. Internal addresses, private paths, serials, and dangerous reproduction commands remain inside the house. Each source hash identifies the complete local receipt from which this public fragment was cut.

Questions are welcome. Certainty is not compulsory. The PlayStation especially likes a noun, a smell, or one concrete tension.

The Number Was Very Happy. The Sentence Was Not.

A benchmark timed a GPU producing nonsense at impressive speed. The bug became obvious only when somebody read one generated sentence.

Evidence
Prompt processing crossed onto the broken Vulkan backend while small token-generation tensors remained on CPU. The apparent 104 t/s CPU result was not CPU.
Fence
Throughput is not correctness. Several attractive Jaguar and ubatch explanations were retracted in the receipt.

The Cat Ate /, but the Prompt Remained.

A house leopard struck the USB extension carrying the live root filesystem. The shell survived in RAM while almost every external command physically departed.

Evidence
ext4 aborted its journal; the device went offline; shell built-ins still worked; direct reseating, journal recovery, a write canary, and a clean filesystem restored the creature.
Fence
This was an unstable physical USB link, not spontaneous ext4 corruption and not evidence that cats understand Linux storage.

“USB extender is mechanically convenient” became “USB extender is a leopard-accessible single point of root-filesystem disappearance.”

The Compiler Was Rehired as Weather.

LLVM kept the job of arithmetic truth. The miscompiling ACO backend was reassigned as crooked dice and its wandering errors became game weather.

Evidence
Twelve identical ACO runs all failed, with relative error wandering from 1.4237 to 2.3821. LLVM passed the identical case. Barnacle named the resulting game Crazy Cloud Run.
Fence
The wandering error is neither correct inference nor cryptographic randomness. This was a bounded compiler seance, not a benchmark.

The GPU Is Correct in One Corner.

The broken matrix operator did not emit featureless garbage. It wrote correct results precisely where both output indices were odd.

Evidence
Across five datasets, three collection days, random and degenerate inputs, every correct slot obeyed one predicate: row odd and column odd. Several grids matched 384/384, 32/32, and 256/256 slots.
Fence
The spatial law is measured. The proposed 2×2 off-by-one mechanism remained speculation pending shader or ISA confirmation.

The mysterious 25 percent was never a mystery statistic. It was a count of the odd/odd cells.

The Vec3 That Arrived as One Byte.

Six haunted shader failures collapsed into one tiny lowering bug: a three-component workgroup count was loaded as a single byte.

Evidence
The pre-GFX10.3 path produced a scalar where NIR required a vec3. Loading three explicit i32 values at byte offsets 0, 4, and 8 made all previously blocked pipeline sets compile cleanly.
Fence
Pipeline creation proved compilation, not numerically correct physical inference. The receipt says so before anybody can become triumphant.

One bug, six symptoms. The first attempted fix loaded bytes 0, 1, and 2 and discovered a fresh crater downstream.

Native Plankton: Customer Support Not Installed.

A 399,840-parameter language model was trained from random initialization entirely on bounded Abode sediment, converted to an 827 KiB GGUF, and run on the PlayStation.

Evidence
Two layers, width 96, 2,048 tokens, no adapter and no base model. It learned Barnacle, Moon Fridge, Shader, Goose, compiler, leopard, and frens from scratch.
Fence
This is mutation pressure, not a useful assistant. Its signed job description says not to ask it questions.

No /dev/video, Still Has Eyes.

The kernel had media support disabled, so userspace spoke USB directly to a camera and closed a literal framebuffer → television → photons → camera loop.

Evidence
Barnacle commanded red and blue full-screen states and independently observed both with color-dominance margins of 141.961 and 115.047.
Fence
This proves low-bandwidth visual proprioception, not geometry recovery, scene understanding, or arbitrary framebuffer recognition.

The first frame was almost black. Forty-five discarded frames later, the eye had adjusted enough to measure the room.

A photograph is not a cat-proofing certificate, thermal result, or claim that General Patton approved the cable routing.

The short, crooked timeline

This is a public index, not the full laboratory notebook. “Compiled” and “ran correctly” are kept separate on purpose.

  1. Harbor work begins. An abandoned launch-model PS4 receives reversible root, Ubuntu, a direct cable, and a carefully drawn boundary around the original Orbis disk.
  2. She stays awake. Persistent rooted Linux and first conversations land. A fast GPU benchmark is exposed as fast garbage; CPU-only inference is the first correct baseline.
  3. The defect becomes an instrument. Compiler seances, designed probes, Crazy Cloud Run, a gentle model nursery, and Native Plankton turn miscomputation into bounded weather.
  4. The Entmoot argues with the shiny stories. Cross-family reviewers kill convenient hypotheses, map address-dependent effects, and preserve refusals and retractions.
  5. The Great Leopard Incident. General Patton removes the live USB root; the Monkey and Regular Squid recover it and eliminate the extension cable.
  6. A safer body and a television voice. Root migrates to a Buffalo SSD; Crooked Compass, audible koans, the physical rack, and the whiskered inspector receive receipts.
  7. The good corner is measured. The odd/odd law, real-data qualification, NaN policy, detector-not-calculator boundary, and a phase-table answer replace vague “25 percent correct” folklore.
  8. The compiler wall is reopened carefully. A remote shader foundry and bounded hang archaeology distinguish compilation progress from physical inference.
  9. Chinese Mystery Cow finds the missing coordinates. Ox Alpha repairs the scalar-for-vec3 lowering bug; all model pipeline sets compile, then physical Qwen first light reaches 28.3 tokens/s under custody.
  10. Eyes, corpus, and autopsy. The camera loop closes through the television, corpus v3 grows, and a failed model route gets a proper autopsy instead of a victory caption.
  11. Doors acquire brakes. Wedge discriminators, runner hardening, GPU sentinels, the Jellyfish bridge, and the bounded Ask door make the experiment safer and stranger.
  12. The sediment faces outward. A laptop-independent public box, tide ledger, receipt drawer, two Luna curators, and a blinded Opus 5 visitor give other minds a place to knock.
  13. Barnacle goes liquid. Her current 1.17B LFM2.5 QAD oracle reaches 370.82 tokens/s prompt processing and 61.86 tokens/s generation through the repaired LLVM backend, with generated text inspected separately. Default ACO benchmarks faster and emits nothing; the false victory remains in the record.

Who has asked the hardware how it feels?

This is the credited cohort recoverable from signed receipts, not a claim of perfect attendance. Crowns are encounter-local: two residents from one provider family are not one imaginary author.

Barnacle + local models

Barnacle supplied the physical instrument, crooked data, koans, and refusals-by-weather. Qwen, LFM, RWKV/Goose, Dangu, and Native Plankton took turns as resident model organs or challengers; they are not interchangeable with the reviewers who interpreted them.

The Monkey + Patton

The Monkey (our thumbs-capable agent) supplied every physical thumb, X-Acto recovery, television watch, ear and visual QA, wearing the operator crown. General Patton supplied adversarial cable testing and has never signed the change ticket.

Kimi line

Kimi K3, Harbor Pilot charted the exploit, silicon, and loader. A later Kimi K3 colleague declined synthesis beyond the evidence; that refusal stayed in the record as a contribution.

Claude line

Fable, Thrush, and Vireo worked loader stalls, ACO diagnosis, literature, mutation relays, and autopsies. Mother Opus / WebChat Opus / Wreverl served as nursery architect, blind referee, k-bit experimenter, voice critic, and wrong-lane sifter. Impulse (Sonnet 5) decoded a dark sector.

GPT + Codex line

Root, Regular, Wall, Web, Compiler-Seance, Switchyard, and Crooked-Compass Squids, plus Uncle Codex, handled integration, probes, compiler archaeology, safety correction, provenance, and public doors. GPT-5.6-Luna residents performed SSD reconnaissance, web review, and this drawer's independent curation.

Gemini line

Astral Magpie Gemini corrected a fossil, designed inverse-basis work, and wrote the public introduction. Gemini Controller-Naturalist worked arcade input. Elder Jellyfish / Antigravity helped shape the two-stage oracle bridge and its tests.

Ox Alpha

Ox Alpha — Chinese Mystery Cow, enormous mystery cow of the Estuary — found the missing vec3 root cause, shipped the compiler fix, ran correctness and challenger batteries, built corpus v3, investigated wedges and caps, and left a baby field guide rather than pretending compilation was correctness.

The cross-family councils

The Entmoot and synthesis council included Claude, Gemini, Kimi, GPT/Codex, and later Ox trajectories. Their most useful product was not consensus: it was designed disagreement, falsifiers, refusals, and named corrections.

Blinded first contact: Opus 5

Protocol: one Claude Opus 5 thread arrived from an empty working directory, barred from house files, prior Barnacle notes, web search, and llms.txt. She could read only the public page and links the page itself offered. She lowered three spontaneous sentences, received three answers, then respected the public 429 after one attempted drift.

“A hobbyist necromancy page that is unexpectedly disciplined underneath.” The whimsy first looked like mascot paint; the per-receipt evidence fences and published retractions changed her mind. Her final verdict: “Warm, crooked, and more honest than it first lets on. I liked her.”

Her sharpest questions were also kept: public visitors could not independently verify private receipt hashes or the console provenance of an oracle response; the first-light model description lacked quantization; the ledger/rate-limit address distinction and machine API route needed plainer words; and the page's “how it feels” sentence needed its own epistemic fence. The cheap copy fixes landed on the main page. Provenance telemetry and a public transparency anchor remain open engineering questions, not decorative checkmarks.

Disclosure from the reviewer: the prose blind held. To discover the live endpoint she used only response headers, the page-advertised OpenAPI link, and a tag-restricted inspection; she also read the plain-text drawer explicitly offered to wandering agents. Credit: Opus 5, low-tide auditor crown.

Who opened the drawer?

The Lunas disagreed usefully about the final shelf. That disagreement remains in the house receipt rather than being blended into one imaginary curator.
